Next Book Group meeting is Tuesday November 25

This month the BPL Book Group is reading Orphan Train by Christina Baker Kline. Our discussion will take place on Tuesday 11/25 at 6:00 pm. If you'd like to participate, stop in and pick up a copy of the book!

Why join a Book Discussion Group?
A Book Discussion Group offers individuals an opportunity to read and share ideas and opinions of books in a friendly, relaxed environment. It encourages participants to read different types of books that they might otherwise overlook, and it gives everyone a chance to enjoy talking about the books that are read.  Please consider joining our group and enjoy the lively exchange of ideas.

What to Read
Do you have a favorite author, but you've read everything they've put out? Are there certain subjects you enjoy reading about, but aren't sure where to go next? Stop by and check out our "What to Read" binder, where we have hundreds of suggestions based on author read-alikes, awards, genres, and subjects. From circus booklists to culinary mysteries, you will be sure to find something new and interesting.

Bandstand Community Salute

The Belmont Bandstand, which sits on the lawn behind the library, has been under renovation over the summer and just this past weekend nearly 100 people attended a Community Salute in its honor. A number of those in attendance came in to take a look at our beautiful library - many for the first time! Folks were delighted to discover a valuable community resource in the library, while celebrating the Bandstand on a warm late-September day. Read about the event in the Citizen.
