The Currier Museum of Art is an internationally renowned art museum featuring European and American paintings, decorative arts, photographs, and sculpture, but is also committed to regional art. The permanent collection includes works by Picasso, Matisse, Monet, O'Keeffe, Calder, and Wyeth, among many others.
Tour the museum on your own, take a guided tour of the "highlights," or try a tour focusing on specific collections. Examples of these "focus tours" are "Dutch Art," "Early American Furniture," or "Looking for Love: Scandal in Works of Art in the Currier's Collections." Additionally, the museum has a gift shop, a café, a library, and a children's room and offers public programs such as live classical music and family art activities.
The Currier also owns Frank Lloyd Wright's 1950 Zimmerman House, complete with the original furnishings and the owners' fine art collection. Reservations are required for Zimmerman House tours.
Library passes admit two people. Visit the museum's website for hours, directions, or just to browse their online collection.
