Wright Museum of WWII History

The Belmont Public Library is pleased to offer a new museum pass to our patrons! Passes are now available for the Wright Museum of WWII History, located in Wolfeboro, NH.
Engaging exhibits illustrating 1940s home life and a vast collection of fully-operational military vehicles bring to life the American WWII experience.
Each pass admits 2 adults and 4 children to the museum. In April, the Wright Museum is only open on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Beginning in May, the museum will be open Monday-Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. as well as Sundays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Currier Museum of Art
www.currier.org The Currier Museum of Art is an internationally renowned art museum featuring European and American paintings, decorative arts, photographs, and sculpture, but is also committed to regional art. The permanent collection includes works by Picasso, Matisse, Monet, O'Keeffe, Calder, and Wyeth, among many others.
Tour the museum on your own, take a guided tour of the "highlights," or try a tour focusing on specific collections. Examples of these "focus tours" are "Dutch Art," "Early American Furniture," or "Looking for Love: Scandal in Works of Art in the Currier's Collections." Additionally, the museum has a gift shop, a café, a library, and a children's room and offers public programs such as live classical music and family art activities.
The Currier also owns Frank Lloyd Wright's 1950 Zimmerman House, complete with the original furnishings and the owners' fine art collection. Reservations are required for Zimmerman House tours.

Squam Lakes Natural Science Center
www.nhnature.org Squam Lakes Natural Science Center, located in Holderness, strives to "advance understanding of ecology by exploring New Hampshire's natural world."
The wildlife on exhibit are ambassadors for their species and are exhibited in their natural setting so visitors can appreciate their beauty, observe their behavior, and better understand their habitats.
Take a walk on the trails and see fishers, fox, bobcats, mountain lions, deer, river otters, black bear, raptors and more in trailside enclosures. Exhibits feature live animals in natural settings with plenty of hands-on games and puzzles designed for explorers of all ages. Climb into a simulated bear den or go down the otter slide and experience being a part of an animal's natural habitat.
The Science Center also features a Children's Activity Center, Up-Close to Animals presentations, hiking trails, gift shops, a snack bar, and a picnic area.
Open daily May 1st through November 1st, from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (last admission at 3:30 PM).
Library passes are valid for 2 FREE Trail Admissions and up to 4 additional discounted $7 Trail Admissions on the day of your visit.

Christa McAuliffe Planetarium
www.starhop.com Check out our passes for the Christa McAuliffe Planetarium in Concord! Catch a variety of Planetarium shows and explore the hands-on exhibits. The Planetarium also offers workshops and special programs. Information about showtimes and events can be found at their website.
The Library passes are valid for up to $26.00 towards regular Planetarium shows. (Regular admission is $8.00 for adults, $5.00 for kids 3-12, $7.00 for students and seniors, and free for kids 2 and under.) Calling ahead to reserve seating is recommended but not required.
