The Library is still accepting proposals for exterior painting and refurbishment.  For a list of specifications stop by the Library.  This project will hopefully begin in the spring.
Book Discussion Groups

A Book Discussion Group offers individuals an opportunity to read and share ideas and opinions of books in a friendly, relaxed environment.  It encourages participants to read different types of books that they might otherwise overlook, and it gives everyone a chance to enjoy talking about the books that are read.

In November, both book discussion groups will be reading The Education of Little Tree, by Forest Carter. We have several books still available and invite you to join us either Tuesday, Novermber 18th at 7 p.m. or Thursday, November 20th at 2 p.m. in the Children's Room at Belmont Public Library for a lively and informative discussion.

Story Time for Toddlers and Preschoolers

This early preschool story time introduces toddlers and very young preschool aged children to language and books through songs, stories, finger-plays, and sign language. There are also very easy crafts for little fingers to practice gluing, coloring, and painting.

Story Time will be held on Friday mornings at 10:30 a.m. in the Children's Room. We hope to see you there!

Meredith Village Savings Bank Book of the Month at Belmont Public Library

Meredith Village Savings Bank has become a partner with the Library in promoting literacy in the community by offering 2 new books each month to the Library.  This year's ballot is already exciting, but imagine if a little boy was running for president, too -- and won!  President Pennybaker, by Kate Feiffer does just that.  Is it your turn to host Thanksgiving?  Let the editors and contributors of Fine Cooking help you out with How to Cook a Turkey and All the Other Trimmings.  Borrow these great new books and enjoy!!
