Friends of the Belmont Library
Supporting life-long learning and technological access for the people of Belmont
The Friends of the Belmont Public Library is a nonprofit membership group that works to strengthen, promote, and support the Belmont Public Library. We are committed to helping the Library meet the diverse needs of the Belmont community. Our goal is to open doors to lifelong learning and discovery for everyone.
Some members limit their participation to their annual dues. Other members are involved in monthly meetings, book sales and other community events that raise money for and promote use of the Library. And, don’t worry, we’ll let you know when we’re having special events via email!
Ways we support the library
While it is the Friends’ ultimate ambition to be a fundraising vessel for an eventual new library, we will always support the library in other concrete ways. In recent years, the Friends have funded summer reading prizes for our kids, the Library’s purchase of state park passes for our town residents and the creation of outreach materials like More than Books, a flier listing all the resources in the library that aren’t books–it's a huge list!
Our events
The Friends run a variety of fundraising events throughout the year, including a used book sale during Belmont Old Home Day, bi-annual raffles, bake sales, Deck the Village participation, and holiday gift wrapping.
If you sign up, you’ll be kept abreast of our events and volunteer opportunities. We are ALWAYS looking for event organizers. If you are eager to get involved in your community, we are your group!

To become a member, simply fill out the fields below and submit your membership dues by mail at: Friends of the Belmont Public Library, PO Box 308, Belmont, NH 03220. You may also drop off your cash or check at the Belmont Public Library or drop by a Friends of the Library monthly meeting to sign up. We would very much like to meet you! Friends Meeting dates are posted at the Belmont Library and at facebook.com/belmontplfriends.
Dues renew annually in January of each year. Donations are welcome year-round!
